Wilson Memorial Hospital is a full-service, community hospital serving primarily Shelby County and also the fringe areas of surrounding counties. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations. Current Opportunities:Obstetrics/Gynecology Practice Opportunity with Wilson Care, Inc. The practice has averaged 10,000 office visits over the past year with deliveries and surgeries for this community averaging 700 and 600 respectively over the previous couple of years. The selected physician will join a viable existing group of two dynamic physicians and surgeons. The position opportunity is to join the Wilson Care OB-GYN Group located in Shelby County and participating in Wilson Memorial Hospital’s sponsored primary care group practice known as Wilson Care, Inc (WCI). The practice opportunity offers inpatient privileges at Wilson Memorial Hospital and a one-in-three call coverage arrangement. The hospital enjoys an excellent reputation and strong community support. Wilson Memorial Hospital is the fifth largest employer in the area with 725 employees. The Wilson Memorial Hospital Emerson-Copeland Family Birth Center offers modern technology and services for enhancing the birthing experience. Wilson Memorial Hospital’s Francis Women’s Center offers diagnostic services in ultrasound, bone density testing, stereotactic breast biopsy, and mammography designed with women’s privacy in mind. Fetal monitoring capabilities from the Emerson-Copeland Family Birth Center to the physician office setting and home are available. Additionally, we offer in-office capabilities for ultrasound, non-stress testing and colposcopy. Candidate Requirements The candidate must be a board certified (or eligible) M.D. or D.O. The successful candidate, in addition to her medical skills, must possess a caring patient-centered focus and have a strong customer service orientation. The ideal candidate will either have previous experience in an obstetric and gynecology practice setting (employed or entrepreneur) or a new resident with a willingness to support and encourage accomplishment of the outlined goals of the organization. Compensation Compensation includes an attractive annual guarantee base salary plus incentive opportunities with an excellent benefits package including association dues and continuing education. Paid professional liability insurance, health, dental, long-term disability and life insurance, tax deferred annuity program, vacation and sick leave are included. Relocation assistance is provided.
